We are always happy to receive further support in the form of direct loans. They are an essential pillar for financing farm projects that are realized in cooperation with the Ackersyndikat and the work of the Ackersyndikat itself.

Equity is needed in the vast majority of cases to acquire farms and farmland. Direct loans are subordinated loans that are considered equity, allowing farm projects to present it. Direct loans are amounts of money that are lent directly to the field syndicate – without going through a bank. They offer individuals and groups the possibility of a meaningful, social, ecological and sustainable investment of money. To do this, private individuals, for example you, enter into a credit agreement with a court project, and the terms are mutually agreed upon. In addition to donations, direct loans are a good way to financially support politically, ecologically and socially committed farm projects and to get the money back at a later date. Interest-free direct loans are key to enabling land use at low cost levels.
Not only the farm projects need direct loans, but also the Ackersyndikat itself is dependent on direct loans. These are used to participate in the farm projects with a shareholder's share, thus guaranteeing their unsaleability. With your direct loan you can contribute directly to the social-ecological turnaround in agriculture and secure it permanently.

We offer the assurance that your money is serving a sustainable and social purpose: we secure permanently unsaleable farmland, and counteract land as well as real estate speculation. We provide a long-term and social investment, where you always know where your money is and what is happening with it. Private enrichment through profits or speculation is excluded by the statutes and control of the Ackersyndikats.

Direct loans for farm projects or the Ackersyndikat itself are a form of solidarity-based financial investment. From a purely economic point of view, other financial investments may be more effective. With a direct loan you know that your money enables social-ecological farm projects.

Important: Direct loans are subordinated loans with a qualified subordination clause. On the one hand, the clause states that no money has to be paid back to the direct lenders* if this means that the solvency of the borrower (Hof-GmbH or Ackersyndikat e.V.) is at risk. On the other hand, in the event of insolvency, the bank loan and the claims of all other non-subordinated creditors are serviced first and only then the direct lenders.

A loan agreement is concluded between the lenders and the farm project or the arable syndicate, in which the loan amount, interest, notice period, term and a qualified subordination clause are clearly regulated.

If you have some money to spare and think it's better off with the farming syndicate than with a bank, a direct loan may be just what you need. If you have any questions or would like to support the Ackersyndikat with a direct loan, feel free to contact us at kontakt@acker. cat.org.
